Payments, Platform Fees, and Escrow
10.1 Payment Structure
Senders pay:
- The Traveler gratuity, agreed directly and independently between Sender and Traveler.
- The Airceleo platform coordination fee.
All payments are processed exclusively by licensed third-party payment service providers (currently Stripe in the United States and Razorpay in India). Airceleo is not a bank, money transmitter, money service business, payment institution, or regulated financial intermediary, and does not provide banking, custody, or financial services.
For users in India, the platform coordination fee and any other applicable charges may include Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the prevailing rate. The GST-inclusive total will be displayed at checkout before you confirm payment.
10.2 Gratuity Handling ("Escrow")
The Traveler gratuity is held in a temporary pending state with the payment processor pending arrangement completion. Airceleo does not itself hold user funds in trust and does not pay interest on any held amount. The word "escrow" where used on the Platform describes this workflow only and does not denote a regulated escrow arrangement under any applicable law.
The Traveler gratuity is released:
- When the Sender marks the arrangement as Completed on the Platform, or
- Automatically after a predefined time window if no action is taken.
Marking an arrangement as Completed is a status action on the Platform only; it does not constitute independent verification by Airceleo of delivery, item condition, or performance.
10.3 Refunds and Chargebacks
Airceleo may, at its sole discretion and as a commercial gesture, refund the platform coordination fee in appropriate cases. Airceleo does not provide compensation for lost, damaged, delayed, seized, or misdelivered items. Any refund, waiver, or credit issued by Airceleo does not imply liability, fault, or admission of any kind. Chargebacks initiated with payment processors may result in account suspension pending resolution.
